I am a very active participant of the local music community in Atlanta, Georgia. I own a small business in the Grant Park neighborhood; In Tune Studio, a private lesson studio. I try to perform as much as my schedule allows, and I serve on the Board of Directors for The Atlanta Guitar Guild, a non-profit organization here in Atlanta. I hold a B.A. in Music from Kennesaw State University. My principle instrument is the guitar, but I have also played trumpet for most of my life and do teach beginners.

With a passion for guitar education, I am currently involved in promoting and implementing the concept of classroom guitar as a for-credit class in public and private schools throughout the metro-Atlanta area. I currently serve on the board of directors, as well as the committee for Education and Outreach, for the Atlanta Guitar Guild, a non-profit organization focused on promoting guitar through performance and education. In addition to teaching, I perform in the Atlanta Guitar Orchestra, as well as in duos (classical cello/guitar and guitar duo) which are available for weddings and special events.

While at Kennesaw State, I studied guitar with Mary Akerman, and previously studied with Angela “Bucky” Motter. I have attended masterclasses with musicians such as Emily Saliers, Dominic Frasca, and Roger Hudson. My diverse studies have enabled me to not only become a more well rounded musician and teacher, but have also shown me that learning is an integral part of one’s evolution.
